B&B Pelagos is a family-run bed and breakfast in the countryside on the edge of Castellammare del Golfo, the harbour town on the gulf of the same name in western Sicily, between Palermo and Trapani.
Rooms and facilities
The deluxe rooms and the ground-floor apartment have a private bathroom, air conditioning, a desk, a TV, soundproofing and garden views. Outside there is a saltwater pool with a view, a sun terrace and a garden, plus a shared kitchen. Breakfast comes with fresh cornetti from a local bakery and good coffee, and the owners, Giuseppe and his son, are generous with tips on what to see. Parking is free right next to the house, and pets are allowed on request.
Location
The beaches east of town, around Lido Never Land, Lido Peter Pan and Lido Zanzibar, are 1.1–1.5 km away, and the centre and harbour about a 20-minute walk. Castellammare station is about 1.8 km away. The temple of Segesta is about 14 km away, and the Zingaro Nature Reserve and San Vito Lo Capo are an easy drive. Palermo Airport is about 32 km away.
