Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what data is processed when you visit WorldBnB, why, and what your rights are.

What we do not collect

WorldBnB has no user accounts, no comments and no newsletter. You can read the whole site without giving us your name or email address.

Data processed when you visit the site

  • Technical data: like any website, our server receives your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used only to run and protect the site (for example, against attacks or repeated failed log-in attempts) and are kept for a limited time.
  • Visit statistics: we measure visits with a first-party statistics tool installed on our own server. It works without cookies, and we use the results only in aggregated form (for example, the most read pages).
  • Language preference: a small cookie remembers the language you choose.

Cookies and consent

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse optional cookies. Marketing cookies are only used if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

Third-party services

  • Maps: our maps load their images from OpenStreetMap servers, which receive your IP address to deliver them.
  • Tours and activities: the GetYourGuide booking widgets load only after you accept marketing cookies.
  • Booking links: when you click a hotel or tour booking link, you leave our site and the partner’s own privacy policy applies. We do not send them your personal data; they may know you came from WorldBnB. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
  • Sharing buttons are simple links: nothing is sent to social networks unless you click them.

If you write to us

If you contact us, we use your message and email address only to reply to you and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Legal bases

We process data on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure and useful website (technical logs, statistics), your consent (optional cookies and widgets) and, when you write to us, the need to answer your request.

Your rights

Under data protection law (including the GDPR) you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability and to withdraw your consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To exercise your rights, use our Contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site changes. The current version is always the one published on this page.
