Hôtel Florence is a practical base for a pilgrimage or a first visit to Lourdes. It stands on Rue de Pau in the upper part of town, within walking distance of the Sanctuary, the train station and the château fort.

The hotel has 47 rooms with one to three beds, each with a private bathroom, TV and phone; some suit families. Its strong point is accessibility: it holds the Tourisme & Handicap label and every room is adapted for guests with reduced mobility. There is a lift, and WiFi is free throughout.

Meals are served self-service style, with Italian dishes on the menu, and the kitchen can adapt to dietary needs. There is a bar, a TV lounge, a meeting room for groups, a night reception, luggage storage and a laundry service. Staff speak French, English, Spanish and Italian.
Location
The station is about 10 minutes away on foot, and the Grotto and the basilicas are a similar walk downhill. The château fort, home to the Pyrenean museum, is even closer. Note that the hotel is seasonal, usually open from spring to late October.
