Acqua Azzurra is a modern bed and breakfast on a quiet residential street of Alghero, the Catalan-flavoured town on the north-west coast of Sardinia, between its long Lido beach and the old walled centre.

The doubles, large doubles and deluxe doubles with a balcony have air conditioning, a private bathroom, a coffee machine, a kettle, a fridge, a desk and a TV, and the WiFi is excellent. Breakfast is good quality, and guests remember the homemade cheesecake. The hosts answer quickly on WhatsApp and lend beach umbrellas and sun loungers. Nights are quiet, as the street has little traffic.

The Lido di Alghero beach is about 400 m away, and the bus stop is close by. The marina is about 800 m away and the Torre di Porta Terra and the old town about a 15-minute walk. Maria Pia beach is about 1.8 km away, the Palmavera nuraghe about 8 km and Capo Caccia with Neptune’s Grotto a short drive. Alghero Airport is about 8 km away.
