Villa Las Tronas is a historic seafront villa in Alghero, set on a small rocky promontory over the gulf, ten minutes on foot from the old town.
Rooms and facilities
Once a royal retreat and later a ducal home, the villa keeps original 19th-century features and furniture. Rooms mix modern and antique furnishings, with air conditioning and satellite TV, and many have sea views. The outdoor pool has panoramic views over the Gulf of Alghero, and the Las Tronas Spa has an indoor saltwater pool, a hot tub, a sauna, a gym and massages. The restaurant with terrace serves Italian and Sardinian cooking, and breakfast is sweet, Italian style. The gardens have many quiet corners and paths to the rocky shore. Parking is free, with EV charging, and pets stay free on request.
Location
The small Las Tronas beach is about 100 metres away and the Lido di Alghero about 1.8 km. The Torre di Porta Terra and the old town are about 1 km away. The Nuraghe di Palmavera and the Anghelu Ruju necropolis are both about 10 km away, and Alghero-Fertilia Airport is about 20 minutes by car.
