Waking up to the Eiffel Tower in your window is one of the great Paris experiences. But the view is not guaranteed just because a hotel is nearby: it depends on the room, the floor and sometimes the season.
These five hotels offer some of the best views of the tower – from the room, the balcony or the rooftop – and we explain which rooms to book.

How we chose these hotels
We chose hotels where the view is real and documented, not just a glimpse from the corner of a window. For each one we tell you where the view is – rooms, balconies or the rooftop – because that is what you need to book.
1. Shangri-La Paris
The most direct view in Paris: from the hill of Chaillot, many rooms and suites look straight at the Eiffel Tower across the Seine, a few hundred metres away. Book a tower-view category.

- Rooms without a tower view face the city: choose the category carefully
- The 16th arrondissement is elegant but quiet in the evening
2. The Peninsula Paris
The Peninsula’s rooftop restaurant, L’Oiseau Blanc, faces the tower, and its rooftop suites with private terraces have panoramic views over the city. Even if you stay in a classic room, dinner upstairs gives you the view.

How to book the right room
- Choose the category that names the view (“Eiffel Tower view”, a named suite): “city view” rooms may not see it.
- Higher floors usually see more of the tower.
- Ask about the sparkle: every evening the tower sparkles for five minutes at the start of each hour after dark.
- No tower-view room available? Book dinner or a drink on the rooftop instead.
